You want to do is position your vehicle in front of a wall or garage door and put a pair of tape in the middle of where your stock lights are positioned. You never know if you may need to adjust later to match up. Always disconnect you negative battery cable. Remove theheadlight you will be installing on or if you have room behind work your way and locate the low beam or hi/low beam combo bulb which some cars use dual filaments. Carefully remove the bulb on each side of the vehicle, making sure you do not have any debris fall into the hole.
You now want to prepare your kit for installation. Remove plastic protective housing from HID bulb and install both in the headlight housings. Make sure they are snug and the slots are lined and twist tight. You then want to connect the two ballast plugs to the bulb connectors. The wiring connector then connects to the ballast to your cars original wiring. You want to run your wiring so it does not interfere with anything. Make sure no fans or hood latches will land on the wiring. You can use twist ties if HID kit comes with them. The ballasts need to be mounted against a screw or Velcro to the body of a flat surface.
HID installation is not very difficult and most people can do it. No cutting is required and the hardest part in most circumstances is removing the original bulbs and sticking the bulbs in place. One thing you must remember is never touch the auto HID glass because the oils from your hand can damage the glass and have it blow up. Kits will usually include everything you need to install such as 2 bulbs, 2 ballasts with connectors for your size connector on your vehicle. Requirements on your time are about 1 hour of free time, basic tooks such as screw drivers and socket wrenches which may be needed to remove certain parts off the car or move parts away from blocking the back of theheadlight. Some vehicles may require you to remove your headlight to install theHID kit.
